JCinematic Plugin Documentation

JCinematic is a powerful Minecraft plugin that allows server administrators to create, save, and play cinematic sequences. This plugin enables recording player movements and creating immersive cinematic experiences for the server.

Commands

Main command: /cinematic

• menu - Opens the cinematic menu
• rec <duration> - Start recording a cinematic
• save <name> - Save the recorded cinematic
• play <name> [all|@p|player] - Play a cinematic
• stop [all] - Stop the current cinematic
• lang <language> - Change language
• reload - Reload the plugin configuration

Usage Guide

Recording a Cinematic

1. Use /cinematic rec <duration> to start recording (duration in seconds)
2. Move as you want the cinematic to appear.
3. Use the control item (clock) to pause/resume recording if needed
4. Once recording is finished, use /cinematic save <name> to save it

Playing a Cinematic

1. Use /cinematic play <name> to play a cinematic for yourself
2. Use /cinematic play <name> all to play for all players.
3. Use /cinematic play <name> @p to play for the nearest player.
4. Use /cinematic play <name> <player> to play for a specific player

Managing Cinematics

The plugin provides an easy-to-use menu system:

• Access it with /cinematic menu
• Click on cinematics to see options:
  • Play for yourself
  • Play for all players
  • Delete cinematics
  • View path visualization
  • Change playback mode
  • Configure sound options

Advanced Features

Path Visualization

Visualize the path of a cinematic with particles to better understand the flow of movement:

• Select "View Path" in the cinematic options menu
• The plugin will display the path with particles.
• Click the option again to stop visualization.

Sound Integration

Add sound effects to your cinematics:

• Select "Sound Options" in the cinematic options menu.
• Set a sound command to play during the cinematic
• Choose whether to synchronize the sound with the cinematic duration

Playback Modes

• Normal Mode: Standard playback where the player moves along the recorded path
• Cinema Mode: Creates an NPC of the player at their original position while watching the cinematic.

Permissions

• cinematic.rec - Permission to record cinematics
• cinematic.save - Permission to save cinematics
• cinematic.play - Permission to play cinematics
• cinematic.play.all - Permission to play cinematics for all players.
• cinematic.play.others - Permission to play cinematics for other players.
• cinematic.stop - Permission to stop cinematics

Installation

1. Download the JCinematic.jar file
2. Place it in your server's plugins folder
3. Restart your server
4. Configure the plugin settings in the config.yml file if needed. This plugin is perfect for server owners who want to create immersive experiences, server tours, or cinematic introductions for their players.
