HardcoreElimination
One death and you're out.
Turn your SMP into a real hardcore server. The moment a player dies, the whole server knows it, and that player's run is over.
What happens when someone dies
Everyone hears it. The wither spawn sound plays for every online player, at any distance and in any world.Red fireworks burst right where they died. Purely cosmetic: they never hurt anyone. One line in chat replaces the vanilla death message: [Hardcore] PlayerName is EliminatedNo death screen. The player switches straight to spectator on the spot, with a big red Eliminated title. Sound and fireworks keep playing without a break.Last look around. They get 30 seconds to spectate, then they are kicked.Gone for good. Eliminated players can't join again until an admin resets them. Leaving early or a server restart doesn't help.
Grace period for new players
- Every new player gets 1 hour of grace (play time: it only counts while they're online). A reset gives a fresh grace period too.
- No PvP during grace, either way: hits, arrows, tamed wolves, TNT and harmful potions are all blocked.
- Die during grace? Instant respawn at your bed or spawn, no death screen, with a "Grace respawn" title. Everyone sees "Steve fell from a high place during their grace period".
- Chat reminders in the second half, a 5-4-3-2-1 countdown, then a "Grace Ended" title. From then on: one death and you're out.

Plug and play
- Drop the jar in plugins/ and restart. That's it.
- Works on a normal survival server and on a server with hardcore=true.
- Items and XP drop like a normal death, and keepInventory is respected.
- A Totem of Undying that saves you is not a death.
- Void deaths are handled: the spectator and the fireworks stay where the player fell.
- No resource pack, no client mods, no dependencies, no database. Works fully offline.

Everything is configurable
A clearly commented config.yml:
- Sound: on/off, any Minecraft sound, volume slider, volume, pitch
- Fireworks: on/off, how many, shape, colours, fade colours, trail, flicker, spread, height
- Chat: the announcement (MiniMessage colours), keep the vanilla death message or not, the personal "you got 30 seconds" line
- Spectating: how long, title and subtitle, title fade in / duration / fade out, kick message
- Elimination: block rejoining, or let eliminated players come back as spectators only
- Grace period: on/off, length, a fresh grace after a reset, reminders, countdown, every message, title and sound
A typo in the config never breaks a death: the console tells you what's wrong and that setting uses its default.
Commands (permission hardcoreelimination.admin, operators by default; both also work from the console)
- /hardcoreelimination reload: re-read the config (running countdowns are not restarted)
- /hardcoreelimination reset : give a player their life back, online or offline
There are no player commands, and no automatic exceptions for operators.

Good to know
- Players who muted a sound category in their own settings won't hear the sound. No server can override that.
- Because there is no real death screen, plugins that only react to normal deaths (for example a Discord death feed) may not see eliminations. The chat line does show in the server console.
- On a BungeeCord/Velocity network, install it on the server where players can die; a kicked player may be sent to your fallback server by the proxy.
