Minecraft 1.19.4 introduced right-click armor hot-swapping in vanilla—leaving older servers behind, and stopping short of what players actually want.

ArmorSwap brings seamless right-click armor and Elytra swapping back to every server version from 1.8 to Latest, and goes far beyond vanilla by letting players swap entire armor sets with Armor Stands, swap worn or held gear with Item Frames, equip custom hats with /armorswap head, and toggle swapping per player!

✦ Key Features

1. Right-Click Main-Hand Armor & Elytra Swap
   Right-click while holding any helmet, chestplate, Elytra, leggings, or boots to instantly swap it with the piece you are currently wearing.
   Smart Block Detection: Right-clicking chests, doors, anvils, furnaces, and other interactable blocks opens them normally unless you are sneaking!
2. Full Armor Stand Swapping (Shift + Right-Click)
   Sneak and right-click any Armor Stand to swap your entire worn armor set with the stand in a single click! If the Armor Stand has arms, your main-hand items swap too. Automatically respects invisible stands and 1.16+ equipment locks.
3. Item Frame Swapping (Shift + Right-Click)
   Sneak and right-click an Item Frame to swap your held item with the displayed item—or shift-right-click an armor piece on a frame with an empty hand to swap it directly with the armor you're wearing! Respects fixed/locked item frames.
4. Hat / Head Command (/armorswap head)
   Place any held block or item directly onto your helmet slot (and swap your old helmet back into your hand or inventory). Properly handles stacked items by placing a single item on your head.
5. Per-Player Toggle (/armorswap)
   Players can enable or disable armor swapping for themselves at any time. Preferences are saved automatically via PersistentDataContainer (1.14+) or playerdata.yml (1.8–1.13).
6. Curse of Binding & Protection Plugin Support
   Strictly respects Curse of Binding across all swaps and commands (with an optional config toggle or armorswap.bypass.enchantment permission). Works seamlessly with WorldGuard, GriefPrevention, Kingdoms, and other region/claim protection plugins.
7. Multi-Version & Folia Native
   One lightweight JAR runs cleanly from 1.8 through Latest with native Folia regional scheduler support and cached configuration lookups for zero lag.

Aliases: /armorswap, /armor, /as

1. /armorswap — Toggle armor swapping on/off for yourself.
   Permission: armorswap.command.use
2. /armorswap head — Swap the item in your main hand with your helmet slot.
   Permission: armorswap.command.head
3. /armorswap reload — Reload config.yml without restarting.
   Permission: armorswap.command.reload
4. /armorswap help — View the in-game command help menu.

Swap & Bypass Permissions (Configurable in config.yml):

1. armorswap.swap.mainhand — Allow right-click main-hand armor swapping.
2. armorswap.swap.armorstand — Allow Shift + Right-Click Armor Stand swapping.
3. armorswap.swap.itemframe — Allow Shift + Right-Click Item Frame swapping.
4. armorswap.bypass.enchantment — Allow bypassing Curse of Binding when swapping.
