IgnitePaste - Animated Schematic 1.4.0

Schematics that build themselves block-by-block with a worker crew - paste mode, ghost previews

IgnitePaste
Watch your builds rise, block by block - a schematic paste mode + shop engine for Paper servers

Construction Animation • Worker NPCs • Ghost previews • Vault economy • Vouchers • MySQL • PlotSquared & Towny

What is IgnitePaste?

IgnitePaste turns schematic placement into something your players actually want to watch. Instead of a structure blinking into existence, it can rise from the ground block by block while a crew of worker NPCs walks the site and hammers every block into place - finishing in exactly the time you set.

Under that showpiece sits a clean, practical paste mode: select a schematic, preview it as a ghost, adjust its position, rotate it, move it up or down, lock the placement point, and only then paste it into the world. No awkward commands, no guesswork.

And it doubles as a complete schematic shop engine: charge money or materials per paste, sell builds as voucher items, hand out plot houses, and track every sale through MySQL and a stats command.

Players get a build worth watching. Owners get comfort, presentation, and control.

Why your server will benefit from it

A building that grows in front of you feels earned. When a player buys a house, claims a plot, or unlocks a reward, the Construction Animation turns that moment into a little event - the structure rises from the foundation up, workers walk the scaffolding and swing their tools, and the whole thing lands right on cue. It is the kind of moment players screenshot and tell their friends about.

Before any paste, players see exactly what they are about to place as a ghost preview - perfect for pre-made builds, purchasable structures, event objects, dungeons, islands, and decorations. Less confusion, fewer misplaced builds.

For shop and plot servers, IgnitePaste turns schematics into a real economy layer - every structure has a price, a cooldown, a per-player limit and a refund window, all wired to Vault out of the box.

For staff and builders it still saves time too: less manual fixing, fewer misplaced structures, a much nicer workflow.

PlaceholderAPI

IgnitePaste registers a PlaceholderAPI expansion automatically when PAPI is installed. Use these placeholders in any PAPI-aware plugin - scoreboards, TAB, chat formatters, holograms, custom GUIs - to surface live paste-mode data to your players.

  1. %ignitepaste_in_mode% - returns true when the player is currently in paste mode, false otherwise.
  2. %ignitepaste_selected% - the schematic the player has selected, or none if nothing is picked yet.
  3. %ignitepaste_cooldown_% - the player's remaining cooldown in whole seconds for the named schematic, or 0 when off-cooldown. Example: %ignitepaste_cooldown_buildings/lighthouse%.
  4. %ignitepaste_uses_% - lifetime paste count for that player on that schematic. Pairs perfectly with max-uses-per-player for "you have used 2 of 3 placements" UI lines.

Use them to show a "Ready / Cooldown 12s" status next to schematic icons in a DeluxeMenus GUI, to drive a TAB column showing how many placements the player has left, or to highlight in chat which schematic someone is actively positioning. Silently disabled when PlaceholderAPI is not installed.

Storage Backends

Cooldowns, per-player use counts and aggregate paste stats are persisted through a pluggable storage backend. Pick the one that fits your setup - switching is one line of config and a reload.

  1. YAML (default) - zero setup, single-file (data/cooldowns.yml), perfect for single-server installs.
  2. SQLITE - file-based SQL via HikariCP connection pooling. Faster on large datasets, still no external database required.
  3. MYSQL - networked SQL for cross-server progress. Required for BungeeCord / Velocity networks that want cooldowns, use caps and stats to apply across every lobby.

JDBC drivers (SQLite, MySQL) are pulled in at runtime by Paper's library loader - no jar drops, no classpath surgery. Just flip storage.backend in config.yml.

Requirements

  1. Paper: 1.21+
  2. Java: 21
  3. WorldEdit or FastAsyncWorldEdit: 7.3.6+
  4. Vault (optional) - required only for money cost / refund / voucher economy
  5. PlaceholderAPI (optional) - required only for placeholders
  6. WorldGuard (optional) - region guard
  7. PlotSquared (optional) - plot ownership check
  8. Towny (optional) - town residency check
  9. SQLite / MySQL JDBC - auto-downloaded by Paper's library loader (only when SQL backend is enabled)

Perfect for

  1. Survival and SMP servers
  2. Creative servers
  3. SkyBlock servers
  4. Event servers
  5. Lobby and hub setups
  6. RPG servers
  7. Builder teams
  8. Plot servers with purchasable houses (PlotSquared / Towny integrated)
  9. Schematic shop servers selling builds for in-game currency or items
  10. Crate / Kit servers handing out voucher items as rewards
  11. Servers using custom arenas, dungeons, houses, islands, or decorations

Why choose IgnitePaste?

Most schematic tools just drop a build into the world and move on. IgnitePaste makes the placement itself part of the experience.

The Construction Animation is the part players remember - a structure that rises from the ground while a crew of workers builds it by hand, landing on cue. No other paste plugin does this, and it costs you nothing but a single config value to turn on.

Around that sits everything you'd expect from a serious plugin: ghost previews so nothing lands wrong, a full schematic shop layer (vouchers in chest shops, prices shown before confirm, plot-restricted placement, full sales stats), and quiet quality-of-life for staff and builders.

A build worth watching. Less confusion. More control.

Future Plans & Early Price

IgnitePaste is planned as a long-term project, not just a simple one-time paste plugin. The current version already focuses on making schematic placement cleaner and more comfortable, but the goal is to keep expanding it into a much more powerful building workflow tool.

Planned future ideas include(As Addons):

  1. Interior Generator - a system designed to help generate or fill interiors faster, making it easier to create usable buildings without manually decorating every single room from scratch
  2. Schematic Variation Generator - a future tool for creating multiple schematic variations based on a set of example builds with the same design style

For example, builders could provide several schematics of houses made in the same style, and the generator could eventually help create additional house variations with small differences in shape, layout, details, or decoration. This would be especially useful for larger towns, districts, RPG areas, dungeons, survival structures, or any project where repeating the exact same build over and over would feel too copy-pasted.

The idea is simple: builders already create amazing structures, and IgnitePaste can grow into a tool that helps them produce more variations on a larger scale while keeping the same visual direction.

The current price is the lowest it will be.

As IgnitePaste receives more updates and bigger features, the price is planned to increase. Buying early means getting access at the best available price while supporting the development of future systems.

IgnitePaste
A better way to place schematics on your Minecraft server.
?preset=fullr1
Add a professional schematic paste mode to your server today.

IgnitePaste 1.1.0
One time paste mode

Added a new console-only one-time paste mode using:

/ignitepaste onetime

This mode loads a preselected schematic directly onto the target player's hotbar, with only the required tools available:

  1. Transform tools
  2. Preview toggle
  3. Anchor lock
  4. Paste tool
  5. Close tool

The schematic selector and undo tools are hidden to keep the workflow simple, focused, and safe.

After a successful paste, the mode automatically closes and restores the player's inventory. A dedicated close item is also available, allowing the player to exit without placing the schematic.

Good Use Cases

  1. Crate / island / arena placement - give staff a ready schematic to position and paste without browsing menus.
  2. Reward structures - automatically start a placement flow after a player unlocks or buys a building.
  3. Event setup - quickly place prepared event objects, decorations, portals, arenas, or temporary builds.
  4. Store / command integration - a purchase or command can launch placement for exactly one schematic.

IgnitePaste 1.2.0
Less lag, better organisation, more control

Main Changes

  1. Async Chunked Paste - huge schematics are pasted over multiple ticks to prevent server freezing and keep TPS stable (Fix for WE, Fawe was fine).
  2. Folder Tree Selector - the GUI now supports subfolders instead of one massive flat schematic list.
  3. Sidecar Metadata - add a .yml next to a schematic to customise display name, lore, permissions and allowed worlds.
  4. Permission-Gated Schematics - every schematic now has its own permission node with optional locked/hidden behaviour.
  5. WorldGuard Region Guard - optional WorldGuard support prevents pasting inside protected regions.

Other Improvements

  1. Undo is disabled during async pastes to avoid broken restores
  2. Cleaner error messages for denied pastes
  3. MiniMessage support for schematic display names
  4. New placeholder in GUI titles

IgnitePaste 1.3.0
Economy, vouchers, MySQL and a proper schematic shop layer

Main Changes

  1. Vault Economy - per-schematic cost field is charged on paste; configurable free-paste permission and refund-on-fail.
  2. Material Cost - new sidecar cost-items field. Pass an explicit material list, or FULL_SCHEMATIC to require every block the schematic places.
  3. Schematic Voucher Items - /paste voucher give hands out a tagged item. Right-click → paste mode preselected, cost waived, one item consumed.
  4. Purchase Confirmation GUI - paid pastes now show a Confirm / Cancel prompt with the money + material breakdown before charging.
  5. Refund Window - undo within economy.refund-window-seconds of a paid paste to get your money back automatically.
  6. MySQL & SQLite Storage - cooldowns, use counts and stats can live in SQL via HikariCP. YAML stays the default. Drivers are auto-loaded by Paper's library loader.
  7. PlotSquared + Towny - soft integrations. Players can only paste inside plots they belong to / towns they reside in. Bypass permissions for staff.
  8. Stats Command - /paste stats returns total pastes, total revenue, top buyer and the last paste timestamp.
  9. Cooldown Enforcement - cooldown-seconds sidecar field is now actually enforced with persistent state across restarts.
  10. Max Uses Per Player - max-uses-per-player sidecar field caps lifetime pastes per player. Ideal for one-per-account plot houses.
  11. GUI Cost & Cooldown Display - new , , , lore placeholders.
  12. Admin Paste Log - opt-in timestamped log of every successful paste.
  13. PlaceholderAPI - in-mode flag, selected schematic, remaining cooldown and use count placeholders.

New Permissions

  1. ignitepaste.economy.free - paste any schematic for free regardless of cost.
  2. ignitepaste.cooldown.bypass - skip cooldowns and per-player use limits.
  3. ignitepaste.plot.bypass - skip the PlotSquared ownership check.
  4. ignitepaste.towny.bypass - skip the Towny residency check.

IgnitePaste 1.4.0
Construction Animation - watch your builds rise, block by block

The headline update. A paste no longer has to be instant - schematics can now build themselves over time, with a crew of worker NPCs placing every single block by hand. Turn a plot purchase, a reward unlock, or an event setup into a moment players actually stop to watch.

undefined%20-%20Imgur%20(1).gif

Main Changes

  1. Construction Animation - set construction-duration (global or per-schematic) and the schematic rises from the ground block by block instead of appearing at once. Bottom-up placement with CENTER, EDGE or RANDOM layer fill.
  2. Worker NPCs - a configurable crew spawns at the build site, walks to the nearest block, swings, and places it - then moves on. Every block is placed by a worker, not an invisible timer. No resource pack and no Citizens dependency.
  3. Construction-Worker Look - workers default to a ZOMBIE dressed in tinted leather (yellow hard hat, orange hi-vis vest) holding a pickaxe. They never burn in daylight and can't be pushed or hurt. Entity type, armour, colours and held item are all configurable.
  4. Exact-Duration Pacing - a closed-loop controller re-tunes the crew twice a second so the build lands on exactly the duration you configured - small builds take it slow, huge builds speed the crew up automatically.
  5. Build Progress Boss Bar - optional boss bar showing schematic name, percentage and estimated time left. Colour, overlay and update rate configurable.
  6. Speed-Up - players run /ignitepaste speedup to pay currency and shorten the remaining build time. Cost + multiplier configurable globally or per schematic via speed-up-cost.
  7. Rollback On Cancel - leave paste mode mid-build and every placed block is restored and the cost refunded automatically.
  8. Particles & Sounds - scaffold particles at each placed block, an impact spark from the block being struck, and a looping hammer sound at the build centre.
  9. CustomModelData Everywhere - hotbar tools, GUI navigation, schematic icons, folder/locked icons, voucher items and worker tool + armour all accept a custom-model-data value. A schematic sidecar can override its GUI icon model per-schematic.
  10. Rotation Fix - directional blocks (doors, stairs, levers, signs...) now rotate correctly in the animated and async paste paths.

Configuration

IgnitePaste includes clear configuration files so you can adapt the plugin to your server's style and needs.

  1. config.yml - paste mode tools, GUI layout, schematic paths, async paste, construction animation, worker crew, boss bar, region guard, economy, cooldowns, refund window, confirmation prompt, voucher item, storage backend, PlotSquared/Towny hooks, paste log, PlaceholderAPI, CustomModelData
  2. messages.yml - player-facing messages and command help
  3. plugin.yml - plugin metadata, commands, aliases, and permissions
  4. .yml - optional sidecar metadata: display name, lore, permission, cooldown, cost, material cost (explicit list or FULL_SCHEMATIC), per-player limit, allowed worlds, tags, construction duration, speed-up cost, custom model data

You can customize messages, preview behavior, tool layout, schematic locations, effects, and other important settings to make the plugin fit your server properly.
