TW Extension - MmoCore

🧙 MMOCore

Your players' MMOCore class, level and skills, usable in every TypeWriter quest.

A TypeWriter extension by BTC Studio

An RPG server tracks class, professions and skills in MMOCore, but your TypeWriter quests cannot see any of it. Dialogues, objectives and rewards stay blind to what the player has actually built.

MMOCore connects the two: the player's MMOCore profile becomes facts and variables, MMOCore events drive quest objectives, and parties and guilds share progress.

✨ What it does

The extension reads a player's MMOCore profile (class, level, points, stats, professions, skills, skill tree, waypoints, party and guild) and exposes it to TypeWriter. Your dialogues, quests and audiences can then react to it.

Nothing is stored by the extension: every value comes live from MMOCore when TypeWriter asks for it. Most entries only read data, so there is nothing to keep in sync.

It also adds objectives that follow MMOCore events, actions that drive waypoints and profession experience, and two group entries for shared quests.

🧭 Profile, class and stats

  • One fact for the whole profile: read level, experience, points, health, mana, stamina and stellium (and their maximums) with a single selectable value. Gate a dialogue on "mana above 50" without writing a script.
  • Class checks: a class fact reads 1 when the player has the class and 0 otherwise, so an NPC can greet a mage and a warrior differently. A second fact returns the class level.
  • Stats and attributes: read any stat, total or base, and the points a player invested in an attribute. Unlock a quest for players who built for strength.
  • State flags: know if the player reached the maximum level, is in casting mode, has a party or has a guild.

🔨 Professions

  • Profession facts: read the level or the experience of any profession, such as mining or crafting.
  • Experience objective: ask players to gain profession experience. Leave the profession empty to count every profession, or fill it to track one.
  • Level objective: complete a quest step when a profession reaches a level. Leave the profession empty to target the level of the main class.
  • Add experience: reward a quest with profession experience through an action.

✨ Skills and skill tree

  • Skill facts: read the level of a class skill and whether it is unlocked, and check whether a skill slot holds a skill.
  • Skill tree facts: read the level of a node, or check that it is unlocked or maxed, to reward players who follow a given build.
  • Cast objective: a quest step that completes when the player casts specific skills. Failed casts can be ignored.
  • Casting mode: force a player out of casting mode from a sequence, for example before a cutscene.
  • List variables: unlocked skills, unlocked nodes, the skill bound to a slot and the skills available in the current casting chain, ready for dialogue text.

📍 Waypoints

  • Unlock a waypoint as a quest reward, so a discovered town opens on the player's map.
  • Lock a waypoint to remove access, for example when a quest is failed.
  • Warp with stellium: send the player to a waypoint using MMOCore's own warp, so the stellium cost and the waypoint rules still apply.
  • Check and list: a fact tells if a waypoint is unlocked, and a variable lists the player's waypoints.
  • Placeholders: the waypoint id accepts PlaceholderAPI placeholders, resolved for the player before the lookup.

👥 Party and guild

  • Member facts: count the members of a party or a guild, and the guild members who are online.
  • Guild variables: guild id, name, tag, owner and members, to use in dialogue text.
  • Friends list: a variable returns the UUIDs of the player's friends.
  • Groups: a party group and a guild group let every member share TypeWriter facts, so a whole guild advances the same quest.

🚀 Set up in a few minutes

  • Install MMOCore and MythicLib, make sure the TypeWriter Quest extension is present, drop the jar in plugins/Typewriter/extensions/ and restart.
  • In the web panel, add an Unlock Waypoint action to a sequence page and set the MMOCore waypoint id.
  • On a static page, add a Profession Level Objective with your quest, a display text, the profession id (for example mining) and a level. Set onComplete to the action.
  • Publish. When a player with the quest reaches the level, the waypoint unlocks. The full walkthrough is in the documentation.

📋 Requirements
