TW Extension - MmoItems v2.4

extension links Typewriter to Mmoitems by adding new node entries.

⚔ MMOItems

Give, take, count and track MMOItems items in your TypeWriter quests.

A TypeWriter extension by BTC Studio

MMOItems holds your RPG gear, but your quests cannot hand it out, ask for it or notice when a player crafts it. MMOItems connects the plugin to TypeWriter: pick an item by its MMOItems type and id, then give it, take it, count it or react to what the player does with it.

✨ What it does

You pick an item by its MMOItems type (for example SWORD) and id. The panel suggests types and ids from the MMOItems configuration of your server, so you do not type them blind. Matching ignores case, an empty type and id means any MMOItems item, and items from other plugins never match.

The extension also ships an Advanced Tooltip System that rewrites MMOItems lore on the fly, as packets sent to the player. The stored item is never changed.

🎒 Rewards and requests

  • Give items: hand out MMOItems items to one player or a whole group, from a list or from a fact.
  • Take items: remove items from the inventory (armor, off hand and cursor included) and/or the main hand, for a quest that asks the player to hand something over.
  • Count items: a fact counts matching items in the inventory and/or the main hand, so a dialogue can check what the player carries.
  • Item possession objective: complete when the player holds enough of the items listed in a count fact, with completion modifiers.
  • Item variable: use an MMOItems item anywhere TypeWriter expects an item.
  • Crafting table: open a crafting table for the player from an action, and count it as an objective.

🔨 React to what players do

  • Use: right-clicking or consuming an MMOItems item fires an event or counts toward an objective.
  • Craft: items made in an MMOItems station fire an event or count toward an objective, with an optional filter on the station.
  • Equip: count MMOItems armor pieces put on in an armor slot.
  • Gem stones: react when a gem stone is applied to an item, filtered by target item and gem.
  • Ability casts: count how many times a player casts an MMOItems ability.
  • Persistent progress: objectives store their progress in a persistent fact and trigger onComplete once when the amount is reached.

📖 Advanced tooltips

  • Several pages per item: split a long lore with a <page_break> tag. A key switches pages (default F) and pages wrap back to the first.
  • Live requirement marks: <requirement_met> and <requirement_not_met> show a symbol of your choice. With MMOCore, they check level, class, profession level and permission.
  • Stat comparison: press the comparison key (default sneak) on an item to set it as the base, then see the stat difference on items of the same type, with a + when positive.
  • Category icons and indicators: an icon per item type and indicators for the page and the comparison.
  • Everything configurable: keys, symbols, icons and indicators are fields of one entry in the web panel.
  • Survival and Adventure only: in Creative the client sends items back as it shows them, so the original lore is left untouched.

🎨 Quest tracker display

The line of each objective in the quest tracker is read from TypeWriter snippets, not from the code. Restyle the in-progress and completed lines with the <display>, <current> and <required> placeholders.
